Hello All! Today I want to share a simple but comfy look with you. I got the idea to color block the joggers from and an episode of Marlon, the wife was wearing similar pants, so I decided to give it a try. If you are looking for some motivation to get your sewjo back or you just need a quick outfit, you should definitely check out the following patterns.
The joggers are Simplicity 8378, a pattern designed for pattern hacking. There are several different options for this pattern, but I decided to go with the joggers because we are approaching Fall. I used a black knit fabric for the back legs and a white knit fabric for the front legs from Fine Fabrics. This pattern was also very easy to sew with 3 pieces, the front leg, back leg, and pocket. AND it has an elastic waistband, which is my best friend right now!
The top is Simplicity 8376, this is also a pattern from the pattern hacking collection. There are several different options for this pattern as well, but I just wanted a regular knit top for this look. I used a black Ponte knit fabric from Fine Fabrics. I paired this look with my black and white Adidas and a white mini bucket bag.
If you want to make the mini bucket bag, there is a free template and step by step instructions here. If you prefer a video, there is also a tutorial on how to make a bucket bag on my YouTube channel. The only difference is that one is larger, but the construction is the same.
