Hello all! Today I want to share this monochromatic look made with a brown Ponte knit fabric from Fine Fabrics. I’ve always wanted to make a look with the same colors but for some reason I never got around to it. The shirt is Simplicity 8529, I made this shirt last year and paired it with an animal print pencil skirt. You can see that post here. I had a great deal of the fabric left, so I decided to make the cropped version of Simplicity 8378.
I made the cropped pants with the split on the side last year, but I cut an XL so this time I decided to trim it own to a large for a better fit. The only other adjustment that needs to be made is bringing the crotch area up about 1 ½ inches. Both patterns are beginner friendly and I highly recommend them.
