You all know that anytime I can combine my love for comic books and sewing I jump at the chance. I absolutely fell in love when I saw the fabric in Joann Fabrics and I had to have it. The fabric is based on the Marvel movie Thor Ragnarök which featured Thor and the Hulk. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie and I wanted something in my wardrobe to represent that. Too bad the weather is warm in September because I would totally wear this during Dragon Con.
I knew the fabric would either become a backpack or a bomber jacket. I was leaning heavily towards the backpack, but I think I burned myself out making backpacks, so bomber jacket won! I used my tried and true McCall’s 7100 to make this jacket, this pattern is not lined but I always add a lining because I am cold natured. I want to eventually venture out and use Simplicity 8418 because it is reversible but for now, I will stick with old faithful!
