Hello All!
I am super excited to share my first comic book shopping experience. Over the years I have enjoyed the great superhero movies but I was not well versed in the history of the characters. For example, *SPOILER ALERT* I was very surprised when I went to see Captain America Winter Soldier when Bucky turned out to be The Winter Soldier! Now if I was reading the comic books, I would have known that however I enjoyed being surprised.
Before I actually went to a comic book store, I found an app online called Comixology that had some free comics so I decided to try that first and I found some great titles. After seeing the Transformers movie I decided to venture out and I found Teahouse comics. Luckily this store is about 10 minutes from my house and it’s right next to Chipotle! When I walked in I felt welcome immediately, the staff is very friendly with a wealth of knowledge. I was a little overwhelmed when I first walked in but I felt comfortable enough to take my time and look around. I laughed at myself because I’m very cheap but I totally missed the $1 boxes! On the way out I received a flier for the Atlanta Comic Convention. This convention is $5 and held four times a year and it was 1 week away so I decided to go. I will do another post and YouTube video showing you all of the goodies I found and the awesome pictures just in case you want to attend on October 8, 2017. There is a YouTube video on my channel talking more in depth on what I found, you can view that video here. Here are some of the comics I picked up:
