Drop Crotch Pants

Hello All!

Have you ever had an outfit that you would wear over and over again? Well this outfit is it for me, this is Simplicity 8376 and Burda 7546. I have made S8376 several times and it is my go-to T-shirt pattern. Depending on the fabric, you can dress up the shirt for date night or a party. This pattern has 5 pieces, but I only used 4 because I left the sleeve band off.

The pants are Burda 7546, if you follow my YouTube channel you know that I love a drop crotch pant. I have made several pair, but this is the best one thus far. There are only 4 pieces to this pattern, and they are very easy to sew. From cut to finish, it took me about an hour to make these pants. That means the entire outfit took just under 2 hours. I used a Jersey knit that I purchased from Fabric Mart, you can find a similar fabric here.

I love that this outfit is very comfortable and can be made in a variety of fabrics. I cut a medium for the shirt and pants. I want to make the pants using a patchwork denim from JoAnn Fabrics. I got the idea from Bethany (@freely_born) on Instagram, she used a different Burda pattern but there are only a few different design elements.

Overall, I highly recommend both patterns! They would be great TNT patterns and also a great way of to get your sewjo back if you lose it. I know everyone is not a fan of drop crotch pants but if you are, this pattern is a great place to start.
