I have been struggling with sewing clothes lately because I have gained over 30 pounds in the last year. It seemed like everything I made did not look right on my body, so I decided to focus on sewing bags and creating bag patterns. I made a few things here and there, but I’ve been very frustrated the past couple of months.
I was looking through some patterns that I had already cut and prepped, and I found McCall’s 7100. I’ve been wanting a bomber jacket in camo print for a while and I remember setting aside the fabric to make one last year. You can check out my other post on this pattern here and here.
I’ve also wanted to make Kwik Sew 3701 but I couldn’t decide on the type of fabric to use. I wanted something that would make the pattern pop and I didn’t think a solid color would do it. I’ve been in love with drop crotch pants since the days of MC Hammer! LOL! I actually cut out a pair following a Mimi G tutorial, but I never got around to sewing them.
One day last week, I decided I was fed up with not sewing clothes, so I went on the hunt for something comfortable and quick. Since McCall’s 7100 was already prepped, that was a given but I needed something to do the bomber jacket justice! As soon as I opened my pattern draw it was like Kwik Sew 3701 jumped out at me! Check out the pattern review below.

Hi…I’m in love with this pattern as well. Your Camo outfit is awesome! I was hoping to find a video on sewing the K3701. I just started sewing clothing…I’m more of a handbag maker, but I have to have these pants…lol! Please make a YouTube video on how to sew this pattern.
Thanks in advance
Thank you!!! As soon as I get some fabric, I will add it to the list.
