Hello All! I hope that you are having a marvelous week! I’m very excited to show you the joggers I made using Burda 6659! I have been looking for a jogger pattern for a while and I had a couple in my stash but none quite like this. Before I started my YouTube channel, I did a test run with Instastory on Instagram to see my video making skills (is that a thing?!) sewing this pattern. It turned out pretty good and I received a great deal of feedback so I decided to dive in and make a video for my YouTube channel.
If you have ever worked with Burda patterns, you know that they are slightly different from the other patterns such as McCall, Simplicity, etc. Some of their patterns do not include the notches and dots to let you know where to line up your pieces. Burda uses a straight line on their pattern pieces and depending on the pattern there are not very many of them. You can find my pattern review here.
Some believe that the pattern instructions are not very clear on Burda patterns but I just used past experience to sew up these pants. I always say YouTube and practice makes perfect! I am in love with this pattern, I’ve already made 3 pair! I used a grey and black camouflage scuba knit for one pair and a double sided grey ponte knit for the other pair. The third pair is black but not pictured here. I did make one minor change to the pattern. Instead of using 2 pieces of elastic and a drawstring, I used 1 ¼ inch elastic for the waistband.
