Knit Wrap Top

If you have been reading my blog for any amount of time, you know that I love sewing with knit fabrics. Knit fabrics are a breeze for me and I love it because if you cut the wrong size it has stretch! There are a variety of knit fabrics that you can work with, but my favorite is Ponte knit. It is thick and durable and can be used with patterns that may suggest a woven fabric. For this top, I used a jersey knit fabric from Fine Fabrics in Commerce GA.

I used this fabric to make a maxi dress and I used the leftover fabric to make this New Look 6620 top. When I saw this top on the pattern envelop, I immediately fell in love because there are so many different options. I decided to go with the short sleeve version of the top because it is still hot outside.

This is a wrap top with the wrap in the back. I thought this was very unique and I loved the tie. You can tie the top in the front, back, or the side. I knew immediately that I would also be wearing the wrap in the front as well.  I hope that you will give this top a try. Let me know in the comments if you have already made this top.
