Laura Dress PDF Pattern – Rosy Pena Patterns

Hello All!

My motto for this year is to sew items that are easy, cute, and comfortable! I had the opportunity to review Laura, the first pattern from Rosy Pena Patterns and I am in love. This is a very cute and comfortable pattern that I was able to whip up in about an hour. I had already cut and prepped the pattern so that took off a lot of time. If you are doing everything at once, set aside about 2 hours for the entire process.

I knew immediately I wanted this pattern because it has 2 options, a dress and a top. Check out my pattern review below:

Pattern Description: A pullover top/dress featuring a curved high low hem that is slightly shorter in the front and longer in the back.

Fabric used: ITY Knit from Fine Fabrics

Pattern Instructions: The instructions were very easy to follow and there are several guides that include body measurements and fabric options. There are also diagrams on how to lay out the pattern pieces onto the fabric and detailed diagrams to follow for assembling the pattern.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done? Yes

What size did you cut? I cut a small at the top and then graded to a large because my hips are significantly bigger than my waist.

Level of difficulty: The pattern is easy with only 4 pieces.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like that this pattern is straightforward and easy to follow. I also like the high/low hem and the loose fit.

Pattern alterations or design changes: None

Would you sew it again? Yes definitely, I already cut out the fabric for a top.

Would you recommend it for others? Yes, I highly recommend this pattern. It is cute and comfortable, and you can have a dress or a top in about an hour.

I paired Laura with my blue soft foam Pumas and the Cayla crossbody bag. The Cayla crossbody bag will be available in my free 5 day bag making course that will launch this month. Details coming soon!
