McCall’s 7574 + Pattern Review

Hello All! I feel like it’s been forever since I sewed some clothes for myself because I have been so busy making bags. I posted an Atlanta Falcon’s wristlet and the response was amazing, I started getting request for different teams as well. I’m truly grateful for everyone that shared my posts and also purchased the wristlet!

I’ve had my eye on McCall’s 7574 for a while and I also have the same fabric that the model is wearing on the cover but I didn’t want to cut into the fabric until I tested the size. The top of the pattern fit fine but it is a little snug at the hips, therefore I will cut a larger size in that area next time.

The pattern has 6 pieces; front, back, neckband, pocket, front sleeve and back sleeve. I used an ITY knit I purchased from Fine Fabrics. This dress can take less than 2 hours from start to finish. Since Fall is here, I would also like to make view B the long sleeve shirt in a Ponte knit.
