Happy Hump Day! Today I want to share something old and new with you. I’ll start with the old, the top is Simplicity 1019, this is a Mimi G pattern that I made a couple of years ago. This is another pattern that I made several times out of several different colors. For this top, I used a Ponte knit fabric from Fine Fabrics. You can find the step by step tutorial for this pattern here. I can’t remember if I shared them on the blog, if I did, I will post pictures below.
The pants are paper bag waist drop-crotch pants. I made these pants following the Mimi G Style tutorial on YouTube. In this tutorial, she shows you how to create the pattern using a pair of leggings. You can find the tutorial here. I used a black Ponte knit to make these pants. I plan to make another pair with a different type of fabric and a lower drop crotch. I’m beginning to love the paper bag waist look on pants and skirts.
