Hello All!
Are you ready for Thanksgiving? This year will be a laid back year for me, maybe a binge watch or two on Netflix. Today I want to share another version of McCall’s 7061 dress. This time I made the dress in a gray Ponte knit fabric and paired it with some vintage Converse and a Clara Handbag in camouflage print.
I’ve made this dress before in a black Ponte knit but I made the larger size. There is also a pictorial here on the blog. I bought this pattern a while ago and cut the medium, but I never had the chance to make it. Fast forward some pounds later lol, I thought that the medium would be too small, so I bought another pattern and made the large in black. Speaking of black, our Black Friday sale begins today, all items in the shop are 15% off! Use the code BLACK18 at checkout.
After cleaning out my sewing room, I found the medium that I cut and decided to make it again. I needed to get my sewjo back, so even if it didn’t fit, I could always give it to someone else. Thankfully the medium had a better fit than the large. One of the skills I need to improve with my sewing is proper fitting and this dress just reminded me of that.
Have you made McCall’s 7061? If so, how did you like it?
Nice!
Thank you!!
I made M7061 in the shorts, but not any of the other views. Your dress turned out nice. Fitting is challenging for me too, so I can definitely relate.
Thank you! You should definitely try the other views.
