Simplicity 8124 + Pattern Review

Hello All!

Have you ever heard the expression stop and smell the roses? I’m sure you have, but for me this past week I have really taken the time to do that. I have been listening to a podcast called The Mattie James show and it has really given me insight on some of the things I need to change in my personal life and my business. It seems like simple things, but I wasn’t doing them and when I did I wasn’t doing them correctly. I’m so glad that I found that awesome podcast!

Today I want to share Simplicity 8124 view C the romper. This is a very straight forward pattern that would be great for beginners. I’ve made the dress and the romper, but I never posted because I cut the wrong size for the shorts (I underestimated my hips) and I made a bad fabric choice for the dress. I think I did pretty good this time around though. Check out the pattern review below:

Pattern Description: Misses’ Romper Dress & Top by Cynthia Rowley

Fabric used: White with Black Diamond shapes Ponte knit from Girl Charlie

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done? Yes

What size did you cut? Small for the top and Large for the bottom but I think I may take the bottom to an XL the next time

Level of difficulty: Easy

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? The pattern is very easy to follow

Pattern alterations or design changes: I added pockets

Would you sew it again? Yes

Would you recommend it for others? Yes
