Simplicity 8212 & 8336

Hello All!

I’ve been wanting to make this leggings pattern for a very long time but I just couldn’t seem to fit it in until now. I literally bought the pattern and the fabric months ago! I was looking for a quick and easy pattern (per usual) because I won’t be able to sew for a few weeks and I needed something comfortable to wear around the house.

Simplicity 8212 is the perfect leggings pattern, I made view A and cut a large. I used a grey spandex fabric that I purchased from Fine Fabrics. This fabric is perfect because it has the perfect amount of stretch and it has the feel of the workout gear that you may find at old navy. There are 3 pattern pieces, the front and back leg and the waistband.

I also used the same fabric for the Simplicity 8336 top. I cut a small but next time I will make a medium to achieve the loose fitting look on the pattern. I made view A, the pattern had 4 pieces, the neckband, front, back, and sleeves. This will be the perfect exercise outfit especially since its getting cooler outside.
