Welcome to day 5 of mom week on the blog! Today we are featuring Simplicity 8914 view D. This is a dress that mom made for me during a recent visit home. What I loved most about this pattern is the bodice because of the variations of the strips. You can do so much with the pattern depending on the design of the fabric that you are using.
I went the safe route with the fabric, this is a striped linen fabric from Fine Fabrics in Norcross GA. Mom was able to keep the integrity of the design because the fabric was so close to the model on the pattern envelope. There are several different views, but I wanted to knee length dress to make sure that I stayed cool for the summertime.
I am absolutely in love with this dress. Mom said that the pattern is very straight forward and she enjoyed working with the different design of the bodice. Thank you mommy for making this dress for me!
