The Anitra Jumpsuit from StyleSewMe!

I was super excited when Eryn Shields from StyleSewMe contacted me regarding being apart of the blog tour for her latest pattern the Anitra Jumpsuit. If I could have reached through my phone to hug her I would have!

I am always looking for a comfortable jumpsuit that I can just slip on and go about my business. This jumpsuit is great for a day and night look, whatever your style may be. Even though I styled it with heels, I will definitely be rocking my tennis shoes with it as well.

 

I received a link to the PDF pattern first and I immediately printed so that I could get started. The PDF went together flawlessly. The pattern envelop has a beautiful color photo of Eryn modeling the jumpsuit and it includes a step-by-step instruction booklet with very clear instructions as well as pictures to guide you.  If you are like me and do not follow written instructions well, there is also a sew along video on the StyleSewMe YouTube channel. I absolutely love the paper that the pattern is printed on, it is very sturdy and you do not have to worry about it tearing easily.

I began with a large because I am quite hippy and over the last year I have become top heavy as well. Let’s just say that large will never see the light of day! LOL! I cut the pattern down to a medium and that fit perfectly. I used a royal blue light weight jersey knit that I purchased from Fine Fabrics.

I absolutely love this jumpsuit and now that I have made the pattern twice, there are several ideas floating around in my head! I think the next time I sew this up, I will us a tube top type bodice instead of a regular top. In my head it looks great…..stay tuned!

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like the style and fit of the pattern and it can be styled with heels, flats, and tennis shoes. I did not like gathering but that’s a personal issue!

Would you sew it again? Yes
