Wide Leg Pants + Pattern Review

Hello All! Today I wanted to share pants with you. I hardly ever sew pants because I haven’t quite mastered the fit. I have a small waist and wide hips, so at times this tends to be a challenge. I’m making an effort to make more pants because I have several slack patterns that I want to tackle!

Any who, I enjoyed making these palazzo pants using this Butterick pattern because it was a fast and easy project. One of the ministers at my church is also a seamstress and I saw her with some similar pants and I knew I had to add a pair to my wardrobe! After church that day I went to Fine Fabrics and I found the perfect fabric. When I got home I rambled through my patterns until I found the perfect pattern for the pants and I found Butterick 4807! Check out the pattern review and pictures below. See you later!

Pattern Description: Misses’ Petite Pants and Sash

Fabric used: Stretch Knit

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done? Yes, but of course the drawing is not as curvy as I am! LOL!

What size did you cut? 12

Level of difficulty: Very easy

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I enjoyed the fact that I did not have use elastic for the waistband. Because the fabric has a considerable amount of stretch I used that for the waistband.

Pattern alterations or design changes: None

Would you sew it again? Yes

Would you recommend it for others? Yes! A great beginner project!
