Hello All! I hope that you are having a wonderful week! Today I want to share my woman crust Wednesday which is my mommy. My mommy has been sewing for over 60 years, she tried to get me to start sewing as a child, but I was not interested in it. That noninterest was solidified when I took home economics and I attempted to make a pair of shorts. We really had no guidance in that class and my shorts looked like Denise Huxtable’s version of the shirt she made for Theo. Needless to say I didn’t sew anything again until I was well into my 30s.
If you follow my Instagram account, you saw my version of McCall’s 7908 in a Denim Camouflage print from Minerva Crafts. That blog post will be on the website in September, but I was able to post a preview on my page. I went home this past weekend for my mom to do some alterations on my jumpsuit and she surprised me by making a different view of the pattern!
She used a gray pinstripe suiting from Fabric.com. This fabric was the perfect texture and the perfect color for this jumpsuit. I was delighted because we were able to take photos together and I can feature her on my blog. I love her version of this jumpsuit; she did an amazing job, and don’t you just love her posing confidence!
You both did a wonderful job on these jumpsite. I love jumpsite now I will attempt to make one. I brought fabric a while back but with the cost of fabric I didn’t want to waist the fabric by not finishing it. So I this blog has encouraged me to bring out the material and get to work.
Thanks Ladies.
Ms.K from Pittsburgh.
